New installation - unit trouble #67

Hello and first of all thanks for the integration! Great job on that. Now, here's my question, my unit doesn't have an indoor temperature sensor (afaik), it's a new install. Just got it done today. The installer now left. Updated the firmware and both the water heater and space heating report unit state - problem. Is that because there's no internal temperature sensor? Or should I be worried?

The Onecta app doesn't report any faults and the indoor unit doesn't either. All the sensors seem to work.

Is that normal behaviour? TIA! <3

The unit state should come from the unit itself, and it should not report problems if it does not find sensors. I do not have an indoor temperature sensor, so I always see a reading of 20C, and the unit state is OK. It is possible that the installer left the unit in "installer mode," which would report a problem. Another reason could be that your device is sending a different value for the unit state, and the integration does not understand it, thus reporting it as a "problem." It could also be that the unit did not complete the boiler disinfection process entirely. Therefore, I suggest you take the following steps:

  1. Check if there are any errors or warnings on the unit itself.
  2. Check if the unit is in "installer mode", if yes, then try to "logout" from the installer mode (and restart the HA/integration)
  3. Reboot the unit and restart HA, or at least restart the integration.
