Usage

Linux

The Kate syntax highlighting XML files have to be placed into $HOME/.local/share/katepart5/syntax/.

Windows

The Kate syntax highlighting XML files have to be placed into %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\org.kde.syntax-highlighting\syntax\.

Auto Completion

Press Ctrl+Space to get auto completion suggestions in Kate. It even considers your already written line.
