Minecolonies and Tektopia integration

Couple disappointments today: 1. Allowing another minecolony in the nether does not work even when the config is enabled. 2. Tektopia miners do not recognize nether ores as ore. So, mining in the nether will have to be done using machines. Thinking of ways to incorporate tektopia into overworld city

Edit: A lot of the minecolonies structures are valid tektopia structures. So that would be interesting integration. I have already included a schematic for a tavern once you get to brewcraft. I am going to move this to a new issue so we can keep it open for discussion.

When does the Nether gate portal come in? I forgot. I need nether quartz and I haven't gotten the gate yet.

I am confused on the Runes of Wizardary. I haven't played with them much. The Out of Torches quest require an Enhanced Runic Dictionary. I have the regular one. How does one get one without being able to make an enchantment table? (No obsidian, no nether yet)

That is true. I gift a magic temple for one of the magic quests and it comes with an enchanting table. But the quest line won't show up until you make the coal generator. So you can still complete this chapter but it isn't linear.

Edit: I will connect the requirement to the Out of Torches quest so people will know they have to do something else first.

Then we have a problem. I need black quartz to make the coal generator...no nether no quartz. Before in Metamorphoses 1 we could make quartz to start with the ashen bales....

Do you see a recipe to smelt quartz into black quartz? It seems some of my scripts are not registering all of the sudden.

Ok, I have created a Fey recipe for quartz and included it in the Hamlet chapter. Not sure how I overlooked that before. I also fixed the scripts so you can smelt quartz into black quartz. I will be pushing an update asap

I have made the quartz...(I forgot how to activate the ritual....had to research it..stupid copper knife) 🤣 I have been able to make the coal generator and atomic activator. I lost a couple items during that barbarian raid I forgot to pick up....

Have you noticed that in HF that the chickens no longer give multiple eggs as they advance in levels? I do get the higher quality....but when they do give the lesser item...it should have been multiple. Nothing to be done...HF upgrading bug. Just thought I point it out. I do love my one cow....she consistently gives me medium ->large milk. Multiple lower level items are a thing of the past for cows at higher levels. ☹️

No I haven't done a real play through. I will be starting a series with this pack once it is stable enough

FYI if you forget to remove the cobblegen from the warehouse before upgrading they don't destroy it. The builder stores it in his shop downstairs.

What mod is the composter from? I had a weird bug/glitch this evening. It got on my nerve. I had a composter that had 53 dirt in it. I had put some more bugs and extra silkworms in it. Late at night, went to bed and got up went to get my tools for gardening and my composter was gone. Either one of my villagers is a thief or it got to 64 dirt and destroyed my composter.

Canny composter is the name of the mod. I haven't had that issue yet

Looking at their github. It has been a problem with the composter disappearing at odd times with world load for a couple yrs. . I don't remember reloading the game in my house at the time...however with the storms...I could have. I just thought it was being too full.

I lost a lot of progress in the quest book because I had to shutdown quickly during the storms two nights ago. So it could be a weird glitch that isn't easy to reproduce.

So, I came back to my minecolonies pig farm and saw all the pigs were gone. Those pesky tektopia ranchers stole my pigs lol

They do...don't they? Beware of feuds between villagers.. 🤣 I will put mine on opposite ends of the village...but that might not stop the rustling of the animals. I had an HF character Joahn open my cow and sheep pen and two of my sheep escaped and it was raining. Any other time...they won't leave the pen...this time they skedaddled away...had to chase one through the hills.

I believe in that glitch. I thought it was just me forgetting things. Quests I thought completed...not completed.

I just started to charge crystals and I am lost. I have never used craftomancy before. How do I charge the crystals? I put the crystal in...but what do I put in the other slot?

I can't find a craftable book in the mod that will explain it.

So where do we get the Magite crystals? If there is a book, maybe give one as a reward with the crystals? I cannot find a wikki or a video to explain it....well one video, but it was foreign language

Edit: What beginner food from what mod? I have tried bugs, potatoes, aubergines, rice. bread and rice bread.

Oh....to get beginner food...it hit me apples. General store still doesn't sell me apple saplings yet. I am in Spring yr 2. Will they be available in yr 1 autumn? I did give myself 4 apples to test my hypothesis and I did get the recover tome. Beginner food in this pack...isn't apples 😆 I do like how we get redstone and glowstone...Love that they fey crafter can craft multiple items at one time.

Could you do turnips? That is a beginning for HF Although plum tree is given early as a food source

After thinking about it...I forgot there was 2 turnip types and only growable in spring. It might be better to stay with the plums then, so it is available to when people are able to get to the quest...or they will have to wait to a spring. I didn't grow any hardy turnips 2y spring. And Jade doesn't give any after the 1st spring. In fact she now buys flowers.

You know...it might be good to do that. The pack's focus is HF not magic. People might get frustrated if they can't advance. I know I stink at word clues like that....LOL. There is little out there about the mod, so it is hard to research.

I wasn't aware of that...I rarely buy stuff from her. I know she sells flower seeds and bonemeal but I don't remember turnips.

Did you remove something....Forge says prepared flesh is missing on load up.

So now we need pam's HC water, and salt to make leather. I made a new instance and used a backup to test some of the recipes. I like that you give an apple so people can make the restaurant. Rewards for the Restaurant still give a placeholder

You can also make leather armor using woven cloth. I give fields as rewards in the first chapters so I don't foresee making leather before you get animal farms as being too difficult. Pam's pots now use clay instead of iron.

Someone mentioned that they don't plant HC crops because they can just kill zombies and smelt the flesh into leather which sells for 80 gold a piece. So, I thought to make it slightly more difficult to get that 80 gold.

Actually should have leather for Minecolonies guards....but I can make a Pam's HC pot with clay bricks and make the salt that way. Smelt the flesh into pelts cure it with salt and water. Good ideal for the woven cloth too. There are a couple ways to get it. At least we don't need to make the helmet right away for "claustrophobia." Hehe. And I never sold my leather...LOL what had I been missing 🙄 . Love the new chicken coop. I just looked at the template and it looks good. Since I used an old backup, I did use the hardy turnips and had no problems. I thought maybe blindness potions might have been used in that one spell book recipe...but there isn't any. So I am out of ideas on what could be used...hmmm maybe just the red mushrooms or the poisonous potatoes (I only have two of those still) I will try those.
