It would be ideal if notes were nested under the highlight they are applied to. This would create a more contextual experience, and reflect better how most readers actually take notes, which is attached to specific clippings of text.

Thanks! Despite this small issue, the plugin has massively improved my workflow (and life!)

I'm happy to play around with the source and get a working demo up if that would be helpful, or if this is not a change that the maintainer wants to implement, I'd be happy to fork and do it myself!
