Hi @sathyajackson
Can I have some logs? You can get them by typing docker-compose logs -f
.
Thanks.
@sathyajackson can we setup a call with you later this week or next week? So that we can troubleshoot the issue with you?
Sorry sir, if your planning to make me buy then I am not the right person for you talk....
Even the company I work are not ready to buy paid software sorry........
Not my fault......peace
No worries :) We just want to understand the issue and get constructive feedback about what we are building. You can reach me at ludo@trackit.io and we will setup a troubleshooting session. Also you can test the free version on https://trackit.io. Nobody will ask you any credit card or anything :)
Here is the complete log file

i tried to install the same in a fresh machine and i am now getting the below python execption.

You need to configure aws-cli
: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/userguide/cli-chap-configure.html
Then, try again sudo ulimit -n 65536
and sudo sysctl -w fs.file-max=65536
Please write your logs in the appropriate format so we can read it.
will be shown as:

Hi thanks for the input. I have already configured the Access_key and secreat_key using aws cli on the same server where i am running trackit.
Still when i start the docker containers i am getting the below message
ARNING: The AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID variable is not set. Defaulting to a blank string. WARNING: The AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY variable is not set. Defaulting to a blank string. WARNING: The AWS_SESSION_TOKEN variable is not set. Defaulting to a blank string. WARNING: The AWS_DEFAULT_REGION variable is not set. Defaulting to a blank string.
Hi, are you sure you start TrackIt with our start.sh
script?
Yes I do with start.sh
Look in the file ~/.aws/credentials
, do you have a default
profile?
Yes, I do have that and I even check the credentials and I works fine with aws-cli
./trackit-server/scripts/awsenv default env | grep 'AWS_' | cut -f1 -d"="
Does it display this?
AWS_DEFAULT_REGION
AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID
AWS_SESSION_TOKEN
AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY
I get the following error
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./awsenv", line 31, in
sorry for the above statement.
Now i got to see what is expected.
AWS_CLOUDWATCH_HOME AWS_PATH AWS_AUTO_SCALING_HOME AWS_ELB_HOME AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY
Ok!
So let's start again, what are the start.sh
and the containers outputs?
Please write your logs as I wrote here https://github.com/trackit/trackit/issues/69#issuecomment-449040526
Thanks
Alrite here you go.

Still i am having the same problem, while registering, login or even the forgot password link.
I see you still have these errors
WARNING: The AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID variable is not set.
For now, we'll ignore them, to understand why you can't login.
Go to http://127.0.0.1/, you'll see the login page.
Then, display the network page in the developer tools (Press F12
or Ctrl + Shift + I
).
Try to create an account. You'll see a request with an error, write here the details.
The below snip is what i see when i try to register a new user using my gmail email address
Please click on the last one and screen again
I think i got the issue sorted out. It was beacuse of a proxy server in the network which was causing the problem. I sorted it out and now i can able to register.
But why am i still getting this warning.
[ warning ]
If
start.sh
aws --profile default sts get-caller-identity
./trackit-server/scripts/awsenv default env | grep 'AWS_' | cut -f1 -d"="
I'm not sure why you're still getting this
Just want to understand, why we need to provide read-only access to an external account to have this working?
TrackIt needs an AWS account to assume roles (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/STS/latest/APIReference/API_AssumeRole.html). Roles are asked in the UI and used to fetch bills and other data from the AWS account you want to monitor.
I have set up the complete UI using the docker and its up and running. Now that I am trying to register the same but unable to.
when I try to register, I get an error as "An error has occurred".
Not sure what wrong can someone help me out to get the UI up and running.
