Background color of non-diffed image changes #32

When running through the entire altair site against itself (so without any differences), I noticed that this image with a transparent background:

has its background color changed to black by website_diff:

After posting I also noticed that the yellow and blue colors are ever so slightly different (as measured by a color picker, so not just a visual illusion from the different background). I wonder if this could be related to the changes from https://github.com/trevorcampbell/website_diff/pull/24 or if it has always been present?
