Some suggestions were made by @pboets regarding the mapping of the checklist data:

  1. With respect to the pathway mapping by @timadriaens in the raw data file: some terms were deleted:
    • Remove remove ship/boat hull fouling for Astacus leptodactylus, Hemigrapsus sanguineus, Hemigrapsus sanguineus, Hemigrapsus takanoi, Melita nitida, Monocorophium sextonae, Rhithropanopeus harrisii and Synidotea laticauda
  1. Changes in eventDate. Not integrated now, still needs to be discussed with @peterdesmet and @qgroom

@LienReyserhove: after discussion with @qgroom, use as end date the publication date of the checklist paper = the last time all this was verified. For this checklist that is 2016. Add the following at the beginning of the Rmd (somewhere near the file paths):

Distributions will have a start date and end date. The start date is the year of first observation (present in the raw data), but for the end date we have to assume when the presence of the species was last verified. We'll use the publication year of the paper:

end_year = 2006 # Publication date of the Boets et al. 2016 paper

And then later you can use end_year for creating the eventDates.

Does this make sense?

OK, I integrated theses changes. @peterdesmet this PR is now ready for review. As there were main conflicts with the master, due to the merging of an earlier PR, I had to do some "tricks" to get it right again. It should be ok now, but just be aware of this when reviewing the files. Thanks!
