Here default " cool & breezy" limit the frequency of the processor
Yeah I figured that out.
But the "default" Profile limits the frequency as well.
That is not obvious at all because it is not visible on the overview card. The Label says x.xx-Boost
- That does not indicate there is a Limit. Only after entering the the detail view it is possible to figure out the settings are limiting the cpu.
My Points are:
Could you please try to downgrade to 1.1.4? Will performance get better?
Hey there, I've got a new TUXEDO TUXEDO Aura 15 Gen2 with preinstalled Ubuntu 22.04 (tuxedo). I've tested this with the default fan profile and cool & breezy.
After working a few days I've strange performance lags in video calls (slack) and in vscode. Additionally the whole system felt slowish (app launches, app build processes, ...).
After reinstalling the whole system (manjaro) the system felt way more snappy but the fan noise was very annoying. After installing tuxedo-keyboard-dkms, tuxedo-control-center and after rebooting the system was way slower than before (but silent fans). The Build-Pipeline of an application is >3 times slower with installed & active tcc. (the countertest by uninstalling + reboot everything works snappier again)
Now I have to decide to have a slow but quiet system or a faster but much louder one.
Why does this software has such a performance impact to the system? (No cpu throtteling is mentioned in the default/coll-breezy profiles) Is there a way to configure the fan speed without tcc to reduce the noise?
