Just a friendly reminder that today's class will be in ATLAS, the usual location.
"Mike will give a guest lecture on how all the components we've covered this semester work together. This will serve as an opportunity to get a review of all the materials you've learned. Also, we will give each team a chance to provide a status update on your project."
If we present at Atlas, are we still responsible for our week 4 milestone expectations?
You will just need to finish the milestone 4 as much as you can before the ATLAS Expo event. Then you will be done for the semester.
For those of us in Senior Projects and that were planning on attending the makeup hackathon, the Senior Design Expo is from 4:30 to 7:30 pm which overlaps almost perfectly with the makeup hackathon. I think Juhi Ghosh and Michael Williams are both in the same situation (and also contacted you ahead of time about missing the HackCU hackathon). Is thee an alternative for us three in this situation?
Re: Conflict with Senior Projects. We will reschedule the makeup hackathon to 5/4. Please see #41
Where are the time slots for the presentations posted?
We are approaching the final stretch to get your exciting projects built!
Please remember to catch up on your milestones. By tomorrow (4/19), you should have at least two of the four milestones completed.
4/20 (Monday): Special Lecture
Mike will give a guest lecture on how all the components we've covered this semester work together. This will serve as an opportunity to get a review of all the materials you've learned. Also, we will give each team a chance to provide a status update on your project.
4/27 (Monday): Makeup Hackathon
This will be an opportunity for those who missed a hackathon and had obtained prior approval for participating a makeup one.
Final Presentation
There are two options for presenting your final projects and getting graded
Option 1: 4/29 (Wednesday): ATLAS Expo
A number of teams have expressed interests in getting your project work finished and present at the ATLAS Expo. The advantage would be to show your work to a larger audience, including students, faculty, industry, and potential employees. Also, you will be done for the course. The downside is that you need to finish 5 days earlier.
Option 2: 5/4 (Monday): Project Presentation
This will be our official project presentation, when your projects will be graded. If your team chose to finish your project early and attended at the ATLAS Expo, you do not have to participate in this presentation. The time and location will be decided to best accommodate everyone's schedule.
