For those teams who will be presenting at the ATLAS Expo, here are some useful information

Official event announcement. Note that our class is labeled as "Rapid Prototyping" http://atlas.colorado.edu/wordpress/?p=6576

Information for presenters (from ATLAS)

Details:

· There are 3 sections of TAM Capstone projects participating in this semester’s Expo. · You’ll find all those projects, sculptures, prints and digital works in the ATLAS lobby and hallways on the first floor. · All the remaining works will be located in the B-2 level and Black Box Studio. · You’ll find some of our preliminary layout and space assignments attached. We’ll direct you when you arrive too. · Food and drink stations will be set up on both the Lobby and B-2 areas beginning at 5pm.

Students/Participants:

· We can print large scale projects or research posters on the ATLAS or TAM large format printers. · Send the pdf along with your requested dimensions to Sage at cuatlas@colorado.edu. · All pdfs should be submitted by next Thursday, 4/23. · Sage will print these and let you know when they’re ready to pick up at the ATLAS front desk. · TAM Capstone projects will be coordinated directly with Ian and Sage.
· If projects or installations have special requirements, please make sure you’re letting us know about these. · We will have student support staff on-hand for the event, but advance notice is helpful. · We encourage students to use their own laptops for presenting or displaying work. · ATLAS will also have laptop carts available to sign one out for the evening only. · Students will need to sign an equipment check-out waiver and will be held accountable for their safe return. · Please let’s all be vigilant, keep an eye out for all computers and equipment and watch your neighbor’s too!
· This will be amazing and fun and awesome.

Day of Event:

· All students are requested to be responsible for the set up and installation of their own projects. · We’ll help, but you know your work best! · Set-up and placement of tables will be complete by 4pm, so students can come begin setup at that time. · Everything should be ready to roll by 4:45pm. Guests will begin walking through at 5pm! · It is really helpful when all students are next to their projects, particularly for the first hour. · No fancy dress is required. · Students should be prepped to answer questions, talk about their class, what they learned and what the project is about. · It’s awesome when guests see students get excited and dynamic and expressive. Many of our guests will be from the community and local companies. · The Expo often is a place where they see the fabulous students who study here and who could be great as interns or future employees (hint!).
