Prepare Staging

• [x] PR to remove RC from the version number
  • start in new branch (e.g., zpp-remove-rc-1.8);
  • edit package.json for version (e.g., v1.8); commit; publish
  • git tag (e.g., v1.8); git push --tags
  • create PR from remove... branch --> develop; connect this PR to the "RELEASE" issue
  • merge this PR (even if you merge it yourself, please use PR and do not commit directly to the develop branch)

  • pull the latest develop changes
  • create a new branch: release branch for version 1.8 from develop
  • publish release branch to github
• [x] Create staging Netlify link (PROD Data)
  • create new PR from v1.8.0 --> STAGE; connect to the release issue
  • walk through the happy path on the deploy preview
  • merge

What's New? We are pleased to announce that tC Create 1.8 is now available online at https://create.translationcore.com/.

• The app now supports editing the translation Notes resource in the latest TSV-7 column format. Note: All Gateway language users will be impacted by this change once the source i.e. unfoldingWord English TN files are converted to the TSV-7 column. Hence, all existing gateway language TN resources will need to convert TN files in the old format to the new TSV-7 format using the gatewayAdmin app in order to edit these files in tCCreate. #1428.

• Reference range function now available in the reference field, such that users can enter a range of verses and all relevant content to the verse range will be displayed in the scripture pane. This feature is only functional once the TN resources are in the new TSV 7 format. #1366

• tcCreate now supports "&" in Original Quote in place of ellipsis for discontiguous words. #1409.

• Autosave function has been disabled in the app and users will get warnings to save their unsaved work upon accidental closing of file/repo/tab/browser. #1417

• A new resource for training called Training Library has been added to the Resources list and is available to be used. #1456.

Bug fixes:

• The highlighting feature was not working for repeated words in an ellipses. It has now been fixed. [1183] (https://github.com/unfoldingWord/tc-create-app/issues/1183)
