To foster an efficient and collaborative development process for the RegiUPR app through Agile methodologies, ensuring that all teams remain aligned, productive, and focused on delivering iterative improvements to the UPRM enrollment system.
Description:
As two project managers for the RegiUPR app, we have adopted an Agile approach to ensure the successful reform of the UPRM enrollment system. Together, we coordinate regular Scrum meetings, follow up with individual team members, and organize group discussions to keep the project on track and aligned with our objectives.
We split responsibilities to ensure efficient management of all aspects:
Scrum Meetings: We lead daily standup via messages and weekly present reunions, alternating facilitation duties, to keep all teams informed of progress and ensure alignment between different parts of the project. Each manager oversees specific groups, ensuring their daily and weekly objectives are clear.
Individual and Group Follow-ups: By splitting individual and group follow-ups between the two of us, we are able to provide more personalized attention to team members and encourage a high level of accountability. This approach allows us to address challenges early and ensure that each team member has the support they need to meet sprint goals.
Cross-Team Collaboration: We jointly manage cross-functional meetings where the Database, Login, College Planning, Documentation teams align their efforts, ensuring all system components integrate smoothly. Regular feedback is collected and incorporated into each sprint, allowing us to adjust priorities dynamically.
Outcome:
The Agile approach has significantly enhanced group coordination and productivity. Regular follow-ups have promoted accountability, allowing the project to move forward smoothly with minimal delays. The focus on iterative improvements has kept all teams flexible, allowing for quick adaptations and continuous refinement of the enrollment system. Ultimately, this has led to a more collaborative environment, where teams are better equipped to handle challenges and deliver a functional and efficient enrollment system for UPRM.
