Confirm Molecular Backup Notes #36

Open hputnam opened 2 years ago

@dconetta @daniellembecker @kevinhwong1 @AHuffmyer @emmastrand can you please go through the following and confirm the notes are finalized and address the following questions:

Question 1: In TP3 what do we think is going on with the notes “Whirlpak ripped and not fully confident this is right sample”. It seems weird we are confident in a molec 2 but not a molec 1 if they are from the same bag… 2 samples in question included here as screenshots

Question 2: In TP4 do the notes “no more molec 2” or “no more molec 1" mean there is only 1 tube for that sample? If so, how did we end up filling the second tube before the first?

@hputnam the molec 1 and molec 2 samples came in separate bags labeled either molec 1 or 2. If we sometimes pulled a molec 2 sample bag first on the boat, we would fill it and when in lab, molec 2 would be sampled without a sample in a molec 1 bag. Some of the corals (like Acropora) had high mortality so could only get a small clipping, even only enough for one tube to be filled.
