we should use the gcc -print-search-dirs to autodetect the library search paths #5

advantages:

updates to the cflags that would change the lib search path always update the lib search path correctly and immediately
'smaller' code size

disadvantages:

updates to the cflags might require a 'make clean'
the makefile is more complex

Yes it is, sorry. It was a Makefile update.
