airportitlwm, Intel Wifi Card and Wifi 6. A solution #121

I noticed that some Intel Cards (dont know which ones to be exact) dont mix well with airportitlwm and wifi 6. Symptoms only arise when using integrated wifi such as having inconsistent download speeds from 250mbit down to 0.05 mbit. A solution to fix this issue at the cost of some features is to disable wifi 6 alltogether. Do this by adding -novht to your boot args. Straightforward on how to do it. Just add a whitespace after the last argument in the value.

I sadly had no luck by using only 2,4ghz as mentioned by others in other forums. Only this fixed the issue so far.

Thanks for tagging me ellnic, unfortunately this doesn't seem to help my issue. I actually get pretty good speeds when uploading on the 5Ghz band, ~100mbit, just not downloading. I am using the 2.4Ghz band for now and that gives me about 100 each way. I tried the stock intel card, but I miss Airdrop and the universal clipboard. I also purchased a BCM94360NG but I get sketchy BT audio and no Airdrop. It's a real shame about the stock intel card because I get about 600 both ways....
