Handle the console errors that occur when you start a project with no cell types #492

We get something like Warning: Failed prop type: Invalid prop 'sx' supplied to 'ForwardRef(Box)', expected one of type [function, object].

I wasn't able to reproduce the actual errors, but the warnings that arise from cell type selection should be fixed with #514
