Oct 18, 2017 Roku announced native support for Google Analytics on their developer blog. As a result, this library will no longer be maintained.
Google Analytics Measurement Protocol for Roku Brightscript
Copy the following file into your channel tree:
Look at main.brs for example SDK1 usage.
Scene graph uses a Task node to wrap the SDK1 sources.
Copy the following 2 files into your channel tree:
Look at GampScene.xml for example SceneGraph usage.
Log in to your Google Analytics account and navigate to the "Admin" tab.
Under the "Account" drop down, select "Create new account".
Select "Mobile app" for "What would you like to track". Fill in the other fields as appropriate. Get the tracking id and set it as the gamobile_tracking_ids
.
Back in Google Analytics, under the tracking info section, select "User-ID". Read and agree to the tracking policy. Follow the prompts to set up a view using the User ID.
Substitute appropriate Roku device IP address and developer password here
