Better way to select location more accurately. #441

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. currently the location selection isnt precise. and that mode doesnt work for me.

Describe the solution you'd like some way allowing users to select more accurate location.

Hello @spectrum705. I'm thinking of adding an option for GPS coordinates. What would be "some way" for you ?

as we type maybe we can fetch the location details from some map and give users to option to select more accurate location?

The thing is that weather data has an accuracy of a few km2, meaning that specifying small towns or districts does not matter.

What issue do you have with the current location option ?

i cant find my current town, so i need to select a closer well own one. plus, the weather doesnt seem to be accurate? like its raining here mostly but it wont show that on forecast

If your neighbouring town is around 10km away, there is no need to change. Is it always inaccurate ? Is it different than when you select this town on accuweather ?

sorry for late reply. i cant even find my town properly in that accuweather, only nearby ones and that there 3 same names so i am not sure which one. do you plan to use any other API in future?

We wont use another API right now, but I'm working on another service that uses also foreca.com, maybe you can see your town there.

also, a different question. what do i do when i want to add newer images from a folder? rn i just select the entire files of the folder and upload when there's a few new images. will this repeat the older images? if yes, how should i solve about this?

For now you can only manually select the new images from the folder. We might improve this feature during the winter 🤔

i wanted to add one more minor thing. currently the greeting stays as "good evening" from evening to all night till 3-4 AM i think. whereas it should change into "good night" after 22:00 i think.
