I tried to explore PGLS analysis. Here are a few things I am unsure of:
i) how to include light availability in the model- for now, I took the median time from dawn and time to dusk as a measure of light availability
ii) how to include categorical variables in the model- for now, I retained/converted the categorical variables in territoriality, sociality, and trophic niche, into numeric variables
iii) whether and how to include habitat_type in the model
iii) the actual model itself and the results (I think it shows median startTime as a predictor of percent detections (p = 0.0012)?
Will keep thinking about this!
