What's Now Playing

What's Now Playing is a tool written in Python to retrieve live song data for streaming DJs using a variety of software, including:

MIXXX
Serato DJ
Traktor
Virtual DJ and other software that writes m3u files
MPRIS2-compatible software like VLC on Linux
... and more!

Output can be highly customized in a variety of ways:

plain text
HTML
streamed over WebSockets
directly to an OBS Text field via OBS WebSocket Plug-in
Artwork in a variety of styles
Artist biographies
Twitch Chat
Discord Bot

Compiled, standalone versions are available for:

Windows 10+
macOS 11 (Big Sur) and up
