since, beside getting the build errors it could not find the dll's i was also experiencing the error
string reference not set to an instance of a string parameter name: suffix
I gave it a try and it fixed my problem.
It still is weird to me that on VS2019 it would work without this installation, and in vs2022 it did not. Also a decent error message on build would have been nice

Description
I recently upgraded to VS2022.
My XF app builds and runs fine for android and iOS. However the XF.UWP part fails to run. When I try to debug it I get numerous (100+) errors that it can't find dll's. On VS2019 the exact same project still runs fine.
This behaviour is present on both of my dev machines.
I've copied the first 3 errors, the rest is in the build log
