Do they have source releases?
Do they have source releases?
use OpenWatcom v2 - activly maintained fork for DOS/Windows/Linux: https://github.com/open-watcom/open-watcom-v2
Excellent! Thanks for this. I’ll make a note to update my article.
Do you know if any others have opened the source code? In particular, my project was compiled with Borland.

sadly no, all others keep their centuries old stuff very closed :(
Huge bummer. I can't imagine it has any economic value. But also no economic value for them to make the effort to gather it all up into a tarball
Has anyone tried hunting down the current IP owners and offering a small payment to get it released?? Could raise money with crowdfunding perhaps

its often a problem with license problems of third parties or source code is lost or just no people around still knowing what legacy project your talking about - there is at least one 20 years old developer that sometimes stumbles over an borland_3.1_source_code folder on the company server not knowing anything about it :)

money and attention always helps - starting a growdfunding and letting all news-pages report about it could make it easier to get in contact - and i think some will spend money to get the source code
