ESP32-S2 mini - WiFi settings switches to AP mode after PS4 shutdown #9

Feel free to close if this is by design or if a limitation of the ESP32-S2 mini. Occasionally, when rebooting or shutting down my PS4, the wifi settings will switch back to AP mode, causing me to reconnect while it is in AP mode and change the settings back to using my wifi connection.

Using 0.9.6 although I do recall this happening on an earlier version as well.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Change settings to use wifi connection
  2. Shutdown PS4 and wait a few minutes
  3. Reboot PS4
  4. Check to see if ESP device is in AP mode

i'm no expert but i don't think there is any way for the system to store settings etc on the esp devices. all config needs to be hardcoded into the firmware itself.

but as i said, I could be wrong, it would be nice if the dev responded to any of these questions though
