Can not re-build the code when run deps.py #151

I clone the repository and try to build the code but failed as below:

Generating dependency file for XTK... Can you post the question on stackoverflow with the XTK tag please? It will help other people who might face the same issue and you might get faster answers :)

It sounds like it is a python/closure issue. After cloning XTK, did you update the sub-modules?

git submodule update --init

Did you download the sub-modules?

I just ran «  git submodule init git submodule update » Do we have to download the submodules for somewhere precise? Thank you very much for your answer.

Hey, I just solved this problem. Actually, XTK (X-master) doesn´t come with Google Closure Library! You have to copy the latter to X/lib/google-closure-library. This folder is empty, by default.

I think the folder is empty because you didn't update the submodules properly.

On linux:

git clone https://github.com/xtk/X.git cd X git submodule update --init ./utils/build.py

works just fine (just did it).

On Windows, it doesn´t work. No error, but the folder stays empty!

Hey,

I just did that on Linux, but the xtk.js causes an error « TypeError: g.t undefined » when I try to display a 3D model such as an .stl or .obj (enclosed). It works fine for .nrrd, though. And all files work fine with the « official » XTK.js.

Any explanation? Thanks.

BTW you can write in French if you are French like me :)
