Macros does not work #12

Hi,

Do you know how should I include a macro inline or in the preamble? I tried \newcommand and \def\foo{x^2} before the algorithm section and various other things, but none has worked. Mind giving an explicit example?

Nevermind, it seems to work after enabling in the setting
