  1. Download the latest application installer from the Releases tab.
  2. Run the installer. This will install the application and place a shortcut in your Start Menu and add it to your auto-startup folder.
  3. After installation, the installer will ask you if you want to run the application. If you choose not to, you can run it from the Start Menu shortcut or by restarting your computer.

Manual installation

  1. Download the Git repository as a zip file and extract it somewhere (or clone it with Git).
  2. Install Python 3 (https://www.python.org/downloads/) and ensure you check the box to add it to your PATH.
  3. Install the following packages via the pip install -r requirements.txt command in the mouse-battery folder.
  4. Run the script:
    • Place the start_mouse.bat file as a shortcut in your startup folder (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup).
    • You may need to modify the bat script to point to your Python installation if you have multiple versions installed or have renamed the executable.
    • Alternatively, you can run the script manually.
