opportunity to congratulate learner on having *learned* something #581

we were discussing with @tfnribeiro how it takes so much to "learn a word".

take the following example:

could we already tell the user that they have learned this word receptively? Although the user would probably expect to see the word in the Learned tab then?

I have been pondering about this for quite some time now (hence the late reply) and I still haven't figured out what the best solution is. I think you are right, that to some extent the user has learned a word, but it could also be confusing since it's not fully learned. I also keep thinking about what the censor said: Why did we go for the official terminology? Could this be a good opportunity to consider rephrasing the concept of receptive/productive knowledge in the frontend and make it more relatable for the user? Maybe something like "Correct! You understand this word. Next, you will learn how to use it."
