TEAM 62_FAVICON GEN (FAVITUDE)

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

FAVITUDE, proj-team-62 's solution to favicon generating problems.

Favitude, a platform (web application and mobile for generating beautiful Favicons in your desired resolution. You're not sure of the exact resolution to use?, with favitude you can download your favicons in all standard resolutions and get what you need later. The favicons can be generated from text, uploaded images, emojis or you can browse through our gallery of previously generated favicons to save what you need or generate a new favicon by editing the pre-generated ones.

GUIDE FOR DEVELOPERS:

1] Clone the repository to your local machine.

You can clone by entering " git clone https://github.com/zuri-training/Favicon-Gen-team62.git " on your git bash or terminal.

2] Add upstream.

You can add upstream by entering " git remote add upstream https://github.com/zuri-training/Favicon-Gen-team62.git ".

Next, switch into the branch you are working on using "git checkout branchname".

You can create a new branch using "git checkout -b branchname".

3] Create and activate your virtual environment.

4] Install all the project dependencies using "pip install -r requirements.txt".

5] Start coding in your assigned branch:

6] Push your codes to the assigned branch by entering the following commands in your terminal:

git pull upstream branchname

and

git push origin branchname

7] Make a Pull Request from your GitHub repo. Then it will be merged by the team lead.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RUNNING THE PROJECT LOCALLY:

1] Clone the repository to your local machine.

You can clone by entering " git clone https://github.com/zuri-training/Favicon-Gen-team62.git " on your git bash or terminal.

2] Create and activate your virtual environment.

3] Install all the project dependencies using "pip install -r requirements.txt".

4] CD into the directory containing manage.py.

5] Run the server by entering "python manage .py runserver".
