Flipnote.NET

Enjoy pure nostalgia of the DSi times with a fan-made PC version of Flipnote Studio.

Overview

Flipnote.NET is a Windows app used to create and view Flipnotes. It packs the original Flipnote Studio features and many other tools which make use of the processing power of a PC into an easy to use interface.

This project is the subject of a 4 years journey with its up- and downsides. It is the work of a not so skilled programmer and it required tens of attempts to design an realize it. In order to save the project that was destined to failure for so many, times, I ultimately decided to trade some cool functionalities I wanted to include for performance and the idea of having a working, though rather barebones flipnote editor app.

Due to various reasons, the following features will not be considered to be included in the app:

• ❌ Load/Edit original flipnote formats.
• ❌ Export to original flipnote formats.
• ❌ Online services integration (Flipnote Hatena clones/replacements).
