It contains a lot of parameters special only for this car. The set of options. Screen parameters, acoustic parameters of talisman car body and so on. I afraid it do not suite to other cars with r-link2. Kadjar, Megane4 Koleos and so on. We may do a plugin for screen repair. It would contains only two option for MID and HIGH screens. It should be enough for turning on the screen.

Congratulation for this script! I've a request and I hope that you can help me. I Have a Megane 4 with 8,7" display and it's fully working but I also have a second hands Rlink2 unit taken from a car with 7" screen (I saw on the top the software version 3.3.16.941 so for small screen). If I connect this unit to my car is not available because I think is due to the old VIN code written on it....there is a way to erase that code and after turn it on with my 8,7" screen? Or not? Thanks a lot

@cedricp these parameters are suited for all R-Link2. As I know R-Link2 is installing on Kadjar, New Koleos, Megane4, Scenic4, New Clio, Talisman and new Espace

Then do you know that the main problem is to extract old box before installing the new one? @shrlnm yes, I've installed the 3.3.16.966 without any problem but what I would like to know is a way to unlock an rlink board that are not visible in my can bus because has a different VIN code written on it. This is not the first time that I dismount the Rlink system so I know....a long and hard work !!

@igno77 Ok. From problem description I understand that you have r-link box with 3.3.16 installed on your car. The r-link is functional except availability thru CAN bus. Am I right? Does it send any response (negative or positive) or it do not response at all? Could you please send me log with try to connect to it?

@shrlnm In my car I have a native 3.3 unit full working on my 8,7" but I have second hand 3.3 unit on my desk with installed version 3.3.16.941 (so for 7" display). Yesterday I had putted inside my car the second hand unit and I can see it with obd/ddt4all!!!!!! I've reconfigured every pages of radnav with right values but the only one that I can't change is the VIN code. BTW the screed still black and no music...totally dead! I think that I need a special script like the activation made in Renault service when you change the rlink unit with a new one. And, after that, how can I activate the multimedia services on that unit? This is very important due to connect the vin code to the rlink code and unlock the download from my renault website.... What's your feeling?

@igno77 first we need to be sure that the wiring is the same on both units and video output is not broken on the second hand unit. As I know, there is no screen blocking function in r-link2 so let's check that you defined screen parameters well for your 8,7" screen. Did you do any screenshots or may be you got dumps from the unit? I suppose that the screen should works if the android starts.

We may write new vin only when the unit have no vin inside. You may clear current vin by virgin mode (but you need working screen for that (( )

We may also try to remove current vin by the CAN command 1140 but I not sure that it clears the vin.

Anyway I may do config for you similar as for @shahram241, give me your e-mail or vin here or thru another channel I suppose you know ;)

@shrlnm I'm not sure that this unit was working...it's sencond hand. I'm sure about the screen parameters becasue were copied from my working system but the screen was still black, I this we need such a kind of "special restart" for wake it up. Unfortunately I don't have any screenshot :-( Are you sure that we need the screen for virgin mode? I never tested before, only in demo mode, so I don't know also if we can reach this ecu or not, but on (ALL cars), S-GW3, C1A_CGW_DDT_6.1.1 there is a section for exit from Virgin mode! There are no tries to write the VIN in the logs. The error messages fires because you have symbols 0xFF instead of vin number and they can not be converted to ascii and after that as I see the ddt screen shows nothing. Am I right?

The launcher asks to define the connection , i selected bluetooth then searched for the macro. But how to verify if it was successful or not?

My car is a megane 4 and i have an ELM327 bluetooth device with a windows 10 laptop.

Ifinally went to renault dealership who done a reset using Renault Clip. However the screen remains blank; only radio sound works. In other terms ive lost the rear camera and the other multimedia functions.
