Dear GBIF team, As per the Australian Faunal Directory (AFD), the genus *Austrocaligula* is a junior synonym of *Opodiphthera* : https://biodiversity.org.au/afd/taxa/Opodiphthera. Also, *Austrocaligula carnea* (as *Anthereae carnea* Sonthonnax, 1899) is considered a junior synonym of *Opodiphthera loranthi* (T.P. Lucas, 1891): https://biodiversity.org.au/afd/taxa/86175a79-7947-4730-83a3-f7470a8e6b93 Thank you for your help and time. Best regards, Dr Penelope Mills

On https://www.gbif.org/species/8545692 the author is given as (L.) Koch. This gives the impression that the author was first Linnaeus, then Koch. In fact this species was described by Ludwig Koch (as opposed to his father Carl Ludwig, and so the author should be L. Koch, 1879.

I imagine this is by design but wanted to understand the logic as I'm mapping a project I'm working on to the backbone taxonomy. It looks like "Squamata" is treated as a class here (rather than an order?). That makes sense as I see Squamata is treated as a synonym of Reptilia. But the thing that strikes me as strange is that there is no value for Order for all these traditional reptiles then? Is this a temporary situation while concepts are being reconciled? Or maybe I don't fully understand the backbone taxonomy after reading through everything.

This genus is placed in the wrong order and family. It should be Order: Hymenoptera, Family: Cynpidae, Tribe: Synergini. Here is an example of a recent mongraph: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1226861520307585
